Adele haults gig to stop fan filming

Adele Stops Concert To Put A Fan On Blast, 'Stop Filming Me!' [Video]

Fact of the day: Adele stopped her show in Verona, Italy this week to tell a fan to stop filming. ‘I want to tell that lady as well, can you stop filming me with the video camera,’ Adele said. ‘I’m really here in real-life, you can enjoy it in real-life rather than through your camera.’

Adele pointed out that there were people who couldn’t get into the sold-out show so the people inside should be savoring the moment. ‘Can you take your tripod down, this isn’t a DVD. This is a real show and I’d really like you to enjoy the show because there are lots of people outside who couldn’t come in,” she said.

Ironically, the entire fan-slap was captured on video by another punter.

Adele is on her Adele Live 2016 World Tour. The European dates will finish on 15 June in Belgium. Adele will start her North American tour in Saint Paul on 5 July and finish in Mexico City on 15 November.

Music fans could be target of next UK terror attack - security chief

Top counter-terrorism officer tells music executives to take extra security measures in run-up to festival season

Glastonbury festival 2015
Last year’s Glastonbury festival. ‘Crowded places are right at the top of the agenda,’ say the Met police.
Crazy facts: Music fans and nightclubbers could be the target of the next major terrorist attack in Britain, a top counter-terrorism officer has warned ahead of the country’s festival season.
Music executives were invited alongside Premier League football bosses to a recent anti-terrorism briefing at Wembley stadium to hear the warning from Neil Basu, deputy assistant commissioner with the Metropolitan police, who is in charge of the country’s protective security.
Many stadiums already have strict security measures in place to protect against the risk of terrorist attacks. But, Basu said in an interview with the Sunday Times, there were concerns over the risk to the night-time economy.
“I’d want to see the owners and event managers taking the same kind of security precautions,” he was quoted as saying.
Glastonbury, the world’s largest music festival, is expected to draw about 135,000 people to Worthy Farm in Somerset next month, with many more expected to fill parks and green spaces for music events throughout the summer.
But after the attacks in Paris last November, where terrorists attacked revellers on the streets and in a concert venue and attempted to bomb the Stade de France, Basu warned that crowded entertainment events were a priority for police.
“These people are perfectly happy to target civilians with the maximum terror impact,” he said. “Crowded places were always a concern for us, but now they are right at the top of the agenda.”
Stadiums and music events were particularly vulnerable due to the high concentrations of people, but music festivals were particularly hard to control and secure because of their larger perimeters, Basu said.
Sadiq Khan, the mayor of London, announced on Friday that he had launched a review of the capital’s ability to tackle a major terrorist incident that will investigate how emergency services would cope if extremists launched simultaneous attacks, such as those that hit Paris last year.
But elsewhere in the country, particularly in rural areas that host some of the country’s largest summer festivals, forces are warning they could be “sitting ducks” in the face of a terrorist attack as they wait for armed officers to arrive from as far as 70 miles away.
Meanwhile, the government’s overall counter-extremism strategy has been mired in controversy after it was suggested that it could actually fuel terrorism by alienating communities. A counter-extremism bill unveiled in the Queen’s speech has been criticised for failing to define extremism, while the police lead on anti-radicalisation has said government plans risk turning British officers into a “thought police”.

At least 1 killed, 3 wounded in shooting at T.I. concert in New York

No arrests have been made

At least one person died and three others were wounded Wednesday night in a shooting at a music venue in New York City where rapper T.I. was set to perform, police said.
Authorities said the shooting occurred at around 10:15 p.m. at Irving Plaza, near Manhattan’s Union Square.
Police said a 33-year-old man was shot in the stomach. He was taken to a hospital where he died a short time later.
A 34-year-old man was shot in the chest and was listed in critical condition. A 26-year-old woman was shot in the leg and a fourth person checked into the hospital under their own power, police said. They were expected to survive.
There have been no arrests made in the shootings, crazy facts and the description of a possible suspect hasn’t been released.
Rappers Maino and Uncle Murda were performing at the time of the shooting and T.I. had not come out on stage yet, concertgoers told PIX 11. T.I. was scheduled to perform at 1OAK later Wednesday, but law enforcement sources told PIX 11 that venue was shut down by police.
At least 1,000 people were at Irving Plaza for the concert. Police told PIX 11 there were metal detectors at the venue and they were investigating whether they were being used.
Concertgoer Elijah Rodriguez told the Associated Press that T.I. was scheduled to take the stage at around 9 or 9:30 p.m. but never went on. He said once the venue started playing music again, he saw people coming out from where the performers were coming onstage.
"All the sudden I heard someone saying that there was a shot, that someone got shot," Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez didn't actually hear the shots himself, but heard people saying that someone had gotten shot.
"It was scary to deal with. When I got outside, like literally across the street, there were a few girls having, like, panic attacks. One girl thought she saw someone get shot in front of her," Rodriguez said, adding that T.I was not onstage when the shots were fired.

The Voice Season 10 Winner

History was made Tuesday night on "The Voice."
Fact of the day: The show crowned Alisan Porter winner of its 10th season. She becomes the first woman to ever win after being mentored by a female coach, Christina Aguilera.
Porter had impressed the judges from the start, when she auditioned with a cover of Linda Ronstadt's "Blue Bayou."

"You are going to win 'The Voice,'" coach Adam Levine predicted during her audition.
A former child actress, Porter found fame at the age of 10 as the star of the John Hughes movie "Curly Sue." But she also went through a dark period of alcohol addiction. The married mother of two said she found sobriety eight years ago.
Porter performed "Unlove You" with country star Jennifer Nettles at the show's star-studded finale.
She triumphed over country singer Adam Wakefield, who was declared the runner up. Contestants Hannah Huston and Laith Al-Saadi came in third and fourth place respectively.
Porter closed out Tuesday's show surrounded by her family and singing her new original song, "Down That Road."

Guy Clark, singer-songwriter, dies aged 74

Known along with wife Susanna as Nashville's king and queen, Clark penned songs recorded by the likes of Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris and Willie Nelson.

The godfather of Nashville songwriters, Guy Charles Clark, has died at the age of 74.
The celebrated country and folk musician died in Nashville on Tuesday from persistent health problems, according to a release on his Facebook page.
Clark was know for his songs'lyrical inventiveness and soaring narrative, showcased in hits such as LA Freeway, about the failed expectations for life in the big city, and  Desperados Waiting for a Train, which was inspired by life in his grandmother's 13 room rural Texas hotel

His reputation as a songwriting legend was cemented by recordings of his songs by artists including Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris and George Strait.

Before settling in Nashville with his partner Susanna Clark in 1971, Clark had lived around his home state of Texas, performing music, repairing guitars and building lasting relationship with musicians such as Kay Oslin, Gary White and Townes Van Zandt
He married Susanna in 1972 and remained in the country music hotbed until his death

Although he never found widespread fame, Clark recorded albums for almost 40 years, wrote hit songs for other artists and was revered by the Nashville music community for his songcraft and generosity of spirit. His best-known songs, such as "L.A. Freeway" and "Desperados Waiting For A Train," were evocative tales of ramblers and dreamers, inspired by his own life.

Despite a gruff demeanor, Clark was considered one of country music's nicest men. He enjoyed helping young musicians and was perpetually looking for artists who might record a song written by one of his friends.

Musicians mourned his death online. Clay Cook of the Zac Brown Band said on Twitter:"I guess we can't live forever. Gonna miss Mr Guy Clark. He was great ol feller" And singer-songwriter Rodney Crowell posted a photo of his friend and mentor, Clark.

Larry David makes fun of white people

Larry David at the 2015 Tony Awards.

Larry David loved the Broadway musical "Hamilton" but isn't too sure about a lot of other white people.

In an interview with Mike Lupica the "Curb Your Enthusiasm" creator shared his opinion on the smash show, reports Rob Shuter.

"(Hamilton) was pretty amazing fact, but I have a feeling there are a lot of white people who are saying they are completely blown away even though they didn’t really understand half of the things the people on stage were saying."

He continued: "They just want to solidify their liberal bona fides and how cool they are: ‘Yea, I love Hamilton. Yea I get it, I’m hip.’”

"Hamilton" received 16 Tony nominations, the most ever for a show.
